Cookie's stress level with the actual soaking or poultice was high enough she was not accepting food. So to me that is too high. That's why we came up with an alternative, which was acceptable to her.DawgBloggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03549947489170037163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3030368038490158017.post-78420257842099215272013-09-07T04:03:59.019-04:002013-09-07T04:03:59.019-04:00Clever idea. Rita had to have 10 minute soaks inthe tub when we first got her (she had mange) and she did not enjoy it, but I kept a steady stream of treats coming her way for each 10 min soak. Every 30 seconds I'd give her a little piece!

Hope Cookie's foot is better!Jackie Bouchardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05854479764528604256noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3030368038490158017.post-69941648243930135202013-09-06T00:04:33.529-04:002013-09-06T00:04:33.529-04:00Thank you Jeanne. But with her being so new to so many things, we wanted to find the path of least resistance, so her new life didn't start more miserably than it had to.

We were managing about 16 minutes this way, which I think was pretty good. They make great underwater bowl pads for travel and accidentally muddy feet seat bed covers. Thanks for yet another great use for them!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14410993180658480326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3030368038490158017.post-43134487781192215932013-09-05T19:14:53.415-04:002013-09-05T19:14:53.415-04:00Good thinking! Actually muzzled him but sure didn't meet that 20 minute threshold. ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
