Adoption Monday: Asia, Pittie, New York, NY

Asia found herself on death row at a high kill NYC shelter. She was an owner surrender for the reason of medical expenses.

Asia has a mass on her side and favors one of her back legs and she's now getting the medical care she needs.

Asia had great shelter notes...a volunteer says that she walks nicely on the leash, greets other dogs with a friendly demeanor and seems to really enjoy their company, and her energy levels are as peppy as a dog half her age!

They call Asia the ‘velvet hippo’ which is so fitting as her silver fur is silky soft and her body low riding and chunky enough to snuggle any which way you please. Her previous owner said that she can get scared of fireworks and loud noises.

Asia is a good girl and is house and crate trained. She is up to date on vaccines and will be spayed prior to placement in her forever home.

Asia does not do well with cats, so a NO CAT home is a must. It is recommended at this time that if there are other animals in the home that they are similar in size to Asia.

This precious girl is such an affectionate sweetheart and we are rooting for her to find her forever family soon!

Rescue Dogs Rock, Inc., rescues puppies and dogs from high kill shelters, owner surrenders, puppy mill throw aways and medically neglected and suffering dogs and give them the proper medical care, then we do our best to find them the perfect home. We are deeply committed to healing the physical and emotional wounds these animals have suffered.
