Adoption Monday: Diesel, Rottweiler, Toronto, ON

Diesel was found straying several times, but this time his owners did not return for him.

Diesel is absolutely stunning but as often happens, has had no time spent on him.

He is a rambunctious, energetic boy who needs a foster/home that is willing to give him the exercise and training he needs to become a great ambassador.

Diesel has a few female friends at the shelter that he likes to play with. When he arrived at the shelter, he was not neutered and didn’t do well with males, but that could change with proper introductions to a calm, confident male...otherwise, a female companion is preferable. He is too much energy for a small dog and cats will likely also be a no-no.

Diesel has shown no food or toy aggression. He has not had any issues meeting strangers, and he is clean in his kennel.

Diesel is a very energetic boy who can be very bouncy and excited meeting people so no children under the age of 12. If you have a nice fenced yard and have experience with the Rottweiler breed, Diesel might make a great addition to your family.

ANML-RESQ is a dedicated group of volunteers looking out for the 4-legged creatures we share this world with. Their goal is to save a dog or cat from being euthanized in a shelter, through no fault of their own - just in the wrong place at the wrong time. If they don't have a foster home available, they will work with other reputable organizations to find a place.

ANML-RESQ relies solely on donations and fundraisers to spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip their pets prior to adoption.  They don't even use funds for gas to transport the pets in their program to their new homes!
