Veterinary Highlights: Blood Test for the New Dog Flu (H3N2) Available Now

IDEXX Laboratories announced that a new dog flu test for detection of H3N2 canine influenza virus is now available.

That is an admirably fast response.

PCR testing for influenza virus is most likely to be positive early in infection (days 2–3 of clinical signs) during peak virus shedding.

The H3N2 Influenza Virus RealPCR™ Test allows quick and specific diagnosis.

The IDEXX  comprehensive panels will include H3N2 influenza virus testing at no additional charge.
