According to the latest Banfield report, diabetes rate in dogs is soaring. Since 2006 there has been 79.7% increase, which makes is 23.6 dogs out of 10,000 Banfield patients.
Interestingly, it is particularly prevalent in Iowa, Kentucky, Montana, Nevada and Wisconsin.
Dental disease is most prevalent in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and Nevada.
The good news is that heartworm disease and flea problems are decreasing.
