Adoption Monday: Darbie, Rottweiler Mix, Southington, CT

Darbie is a beautiful black lab who sadly has spent the majority of her life within the confines of a chain-link fence and cement floor.

Surprisingly (and thankfully) Darbie is adjusting very-well to the taste of freedom and is enjoying the finer things in life with extreme bliss. Swimming in the cool pond, smelling the warm grass, and exploring new scents are among her greatest freedoms.

When Darbie smiles....the whole world smiles with her!

Whatever your preference is, know that Darbie is free and so thankful to be on her way to her
forever home.

Darbie is about 3 months old. She weighs 20 lbs. She knows sit and how to walk on a leash. She will likely weigh 50-60 lbs when fully grown.

Darbie is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, and current on preventatives. She is friendly (and curious) towards other dogs, and while her interaction with felines has been brief, she shows no signs of dislike towards kitties.

Darbie loves people of all sizes but she is young and has all the usual puppy energy.

In time she will be a perfect little lady. Until then we would advise strict supervision around little ones (she can be a bit of a jumper). Friendly, sweet, playful, and outgoing, Darbie will make a fantastic addition to the very lucky family wishing to give her a long awaited Fairy 'Tail' ending.

Best Friends For Life is a privately run, 501 c3 non profit organization, privately funded NO KILL dog rescue. They operate on a strictly volunteer basis out of foster homes.
